In an exclusive interview with the Director of Academic Planning Mr. Ademola Ayinla, who shared the strategic thinking behind this initiative. "The idea of using the cctv camera basically is to improve our standard of supervision and also to support the supervisor in invigilating. Examination is very important and it is one of the parameters that is used to guage or determine the standard of any school, in other to have a standard examination, we have decided to mount cctv camera in the examination halls. The cctv can monitor large number of students in the hall and of course there is one officer in the control room monitoring the camera and if there is any suspicious movement, the officer will call the attention of the invigilator in the exam hall."
He also advice the students to follow the rules and regulations of the exam " The students must be serious and study very well in other to come out in flying color in their exams because we are not going to leave any stone unturned in other to make sure we conduct a standard examination. The students should make sure they dress well to the examination hall, don't engage in any form of inter-communication with anyone, any incriminating material even phone don't bring it to the examination hall" Mr Ayinla adviced.
Additionally, reactions was gathered from 10 students from different departments, providing a comprehensive look at how this change is being received by those it directly affects.
