Professor O. S. Awokola Commends Igbajo Poly Students, Awards Scholarship

In a commendable recognition of academic excellence, the Acting Governing Council Chairman of Igbajo Polytechnic, Professor O. S. Awokola, has lauded the efforts of the institution’s Mass Communication students for their outstanding news publication. The Rector, Dr. Abdulganiyu Abimbola Adebisi made this known today during a chat with the Head of the Department of Mass Communication Mr. Olugbenga Adesemowo and the NAMACOS crew.


Dr. Adebisi, conveying the message from Professor O. S. Awokola, expressed the Chairman's excitement over the students’ journalistic practice. He specifically commended Tobiloba Adekunle HND 1 and Adenike Ayoola from ND 1 Mass Communication Department for their exemplary work. "Professor Awokola is deeply impressed with the professionalism and creativity you have demonstrated in your news publications, your efforts reflect not only your personal dedication but also the high standard of education provided by the department." Dr. Adebisi said.

In recognition of their outstanding performance, Professor Awokola announced  that Tobiloba Adekunle and Adenike Ayoola will be compensated and part of their tuition fee will be paid by him. These compensation is intended to encourage the students to continue their pursuit of academic and professional excellence.

While responding to the commendation from the governing Council Chairman, the head of department of Mass communication Mr. Olugbenga Adesemowo thanked the management of the institution led by Dr. Abdulganiyu Abimbola Adebisi for giving them enabling environment for academic learning and training. He however, promised to ensure the department continue to uphold the standard and academic excellence of the institution.

In their separate remarks, Tobiloba Adekunle expressed his heartfelt thanks to the management for the recognition and support,stating that this gesture will motivate them to strive even harder in their studies. He also appreciated the department for quality skills and training received since inception. In her response Adenike Ayoola thanked the management and Prof. O.S Awokola for their kind gestures and promised to continue to make the institution proud .
