"I am pleased to welcome you to the inauguration of the 6th Governing Council of Igbajo Polytechnic, Igbajo. Today marks a significant milestone in our institution's history, as we embark on a new chapter of growth, innovation, and excellence," he said.
Dr. Adebisi expressed gratitude to the visitors, the chairman, and the members of the Board of Trustees for their roles in appointing the esteemed governing council. He also commended the outgoing council for their dedication and achievements. "I extend my sincere appreciation for your tireless efforts and dedication to our polytechnic. Your contributions have been invaluable, and we are grateful for the foundation you have laid," he noted.
Welcoming the new council, the Rector expressed confidence in their ability to steer the institution toward greater heights. "Your expertise, experience, and passion for education will undoubtedly propel our institution forward," he said. He reaffirmed the polytechnic's commitment to delivering high-quality technical and vocational education while fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and excellence.

His Majesty applauded the efforts of past leaders who contributed to the polytechnic success, stating, "The labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain." He charged the Board of Trustees to remain accommodating, unbiased, and guided by the institution's constitution. "Let the constitution be our guide and reference. I am prepared to work harmoniously with you all," he assured.
The monarch also addressed the Rector and Registrar, urging them to maintain professionalism and neutrality in their roles. "Please don't engage in partnership. You are not members of the council by selection, as the council can be dissolved, but your offices cannot. Be upright and not patronizing. Do all within your professional capacities to function between the Board of Trustees and Governing Council without rancor or friction."
He called on faculty and staff to uphold the polytechnic image through thorough mentorship and effective administration. To the students, he provided words of inspiration: "This polytechnic is your gateway to opportunities. Embrace learning, innovation, and teamwork."
He also mentioned that during his thanksgiving ceremony as the new Owa of Igbajo-Iloro, in Abuja last month "Some of my friends gathered together and contributed #5million to be presented to the Polytechnic. The donation was tied to the purchase of a transmitter for the Igbajo polytechnic radio station. I shall be presenting it to the school through the chairman board of trustees.
