Recruits on the entering

"As our motto states, ‘Building the Man, Building the Community,’ Man O’ War is not just about physical strength; it is about character, resilience, and a commitment to serve. Our primary duty on this campus is to ensure maximum security and maintain peace among students. The training will include various exercises like rope climbing and endurance drills to instill discipline and physical fitness. I advise all recruits to listen to their commanders, abide by the rules and regulations of the camp, and stay committed to their academics. You cannot be a Man O’ War member and still engage in illegal groups or start missing classes—discipline is key,” he stated.

The Deputy Commandant-in-Chief (DCC), ASM Saturday Peace, also addressed the recruits, shedding light on the responsibilities that come with being a Man O’ War officer on campus. She described the organization as a pillar of security and protection for students.

"We are here to train and raise future leaders. This recruitment camp is an opportunity for you to build teamwork, endurance, and leadership skills that will benefit you beyond your time in school. Here at Igbajo Polytechnic, Man O’ War serves as the ‘student police,’ ensuring peace and standing up for students when they face intimidation or bullying. We uphold discipline, respect, and the values of service to humanity,” she said.
