Igbajo Polytechnic is witnessing remarkable transformation under the leadership of Rector Dr. Ganiyu Abimbola Adebisi, with ongoing road construction projects set to improve mobility and aesthetics across the campus. The intervention addresses long-standing concerns about accessibility within the institution.

The road network, which cuts across key academic and administrative areas, is currently under construction and has been widely commended by staff and students. The project is expected to ease movement, especially during the rainy season, and enhance the overall learning environment.

Speaking on the development, Dr. Adebisi described the initiative as part of his administration’s commitment to infrastructural renewal. He noted that a conducive environment is critical to academic excellence and institutional growth.

The Rector also used the opportunity to appeal to the Osun  State Government  under the leadership of Mr. Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke for support to complete and expand the project. He emphasized that partnership from the state would accelerate development and enable the Polytechnic to meet its infrastructural needs faster.

In the same vein, Dr. Adebisi recognized academic excellence by presenting a cash award of twenty thousand Naira  to Omolumo Aishat, an ND 1 student of the Department of Mass Communication, for her excellent performance in news writing. This  gesture was aimed at encouraging hard work and professionalism among students.

According  to the beneficiary, Omolumo Aishat expressed deep appreciation to the Rector for the honour, describing it as a great motivation. She pledged to remain committed to her studies and to uphold the standards of the department.
